The vapor condenser <\/strong>is primarily designed and manufactured as a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. In this system, hot or saturated steam enters the shell and comes into contact with the cold walls of the tubes through which cool water flows. This water flow is typically generated by a cooling tower.<\/p>\n

The tubes in this product are usually made of stainless steel. To enhance heat exchange efficiency, these tubes are finned on the outside and grooved on the inside to minimize scaling caused by water deposits.<\/p>\n

The heat from the incoming steam flow is transferred through the tube walls to the cool water flowing inside the tubes. Eventually, the heated water returns to the cooling tower, where it is cooled back to the required temperature.<\/p>\n

Using plate heat exchangers instead of this type of condenser is not common because the water exiting the cooling tower (in an open circuit) is often impure. The narrow spacing between the plates in plate heat exchangers can easily lead to blockages due to scaling, significantly reducing the condenser’s efficiency.<\/p>\n
