Air Cooled Evaporator – EHT

Device Capacity:

• The EHT evaporator is available in 28 models with a nominal capacity range of 5 to 48 kW.
• Suitable for below-zero and above-zero cold storage rooms, as well as pre-cooling applications.

Body Specifications:

• Unique body coating made of galvanized sheet with electrostatic paint finish.
• Special body design for enhanced durability and aesthetics.
• Hinged doors with locks on both sides for easy access to terminals and expansion valves during maintenance.
• External hinged drain pan for easy periodic servicing and heating element inspection.
• Internal aluminum drain pan to improve heat transfer efficiency and ensure complete defrosting without ice falling into the drain hole.
• Special external drain pan structure for efficient water drainage during defrosting.

Electrical and Technical Specifications:

• Axial fan for optimal airflow.
• Operating temperature range: -40°C to +60°C.
• Equipped with internal overload protection.
• Thermal class F and protection class IP54/IP55.
• Uses 40cm and 50cm fans depending on the unit’s capacity.

Heating Element Specifications:

• Defrost and drain heating elements manufactured by the reputable Sedes factory, featuring silicone-coated wires resistant to high temperatures.
• Series wiring of heating elements to reduce voltage difference across the elements to 190V, extending their lifespan.
• High-quality, fully insulated wire terminals to protect against moisture.
• Heating element retaining clips.
• Fan blade heating elements to prevent icing on 50cm fan blades (always active).
• Drain funnel and tube heating elements to prevent ice formation in the drain path (always active).

Additional Features:

• Defrost thermostat with adjustable positioning on the coil for optimal defrosting.
• Pre-wired electrical box with oversized terminals (includes fans with overload protection, defrost and drain heating elements, fan blade heating elements, drain funnel heating elements, and defrost thermostat).
  

Installation Guidelines:

• The evaporator should be installed in a suitable location within the cold room, maintaining standard clearance from surrounding walls.
• Avoid blocking airflow in the fan’s air discharge path to ensure proper air circulation.
• Installing a linear heat exchanger improves system efficiency and longevity.
• Side doors must be closed after servicing.

Standard Components:

• • U-trap with mounting brackets and installation diagram (for models with 5 to 33 kW capacity).
  • Drain funnel (vertical and flat) suitable for the evaporator’s capacity.
  • Flexible PVC drain tube with a steel spring, approximately 2 meters long, for efficient water drainage.
